  • Can the climate and environment of the city in which one lives be a factor for healthy or damaged hair?

    By Eppy Dueno | February 22, 2008

Question: Can the climate and environment of the city in which one lives be a factor for healthy or damaged hair?

    Answer: In short, YES!

Climate is a factor no matter where you live. Conditions don’t have to be extreme to leave their mark on your hair. Hair is fragile but resilient; contradictive in fact. Good weather and bad weather is all relative. Some experts say that the difference between good hair and bad hair days depends on which side you comb it: I would agree but not totally.

Let’s take for example, Chicago, the windy city. It’s haaarrd to keep your doo in that city for sure, especially when the wind decides to do what it does best: blow. Why would wind damage the hair? Because it messes the hair up that’s why. It rubs the hair together vigorously and tangles it. You then have to pull and rub to detangle it. How bad is that? The cuticle is chipped away slowly but surely because of friction and heat.

Could I put bleach on my hair would it take out the black and bring back my natural hair color back?

    By Yvonne Dueno | February 11, 2008

Question: I dyed my hair from blonde to black and now i want my natural hair
color back cause i absolutly hate my hair and i was wondering if i could put
bleach on my hair would it take out the black and bring my natural hair color back
    or what should i do???

Answer: Aaaaahyyee Elizabeth, What have you done?

I am sorry to read that you have gone so drastic with your color and don’t want it anymore. Black hair dye is like the mafia or a marriage or some kind of hard core gang; it’s easy to get in but almost impossible to get out.

Bleach will definitely do the job, that’s what bleach does. But to what cost?
Please by all means do not try this Houdini trick on your own, have a pro do it for you.
Or, you can try other, more considerable options.

If you go the professional way, you should be ready to sign some sought of release statement that will exempt the stylist and the establishment of any liability. Also, you should be aware that it will cost you a pretty penny or a left eye. These corrective color assignments are not cheap. You will probably have to cut some length off too, not much but some.

Your other option is leave it the way it is and let it grow out. This option is probably out of the question because, who the hell wants to walk

What is the difference between a marcel grip curling iron and a regular curling iron?

    By Hairstyle Questions | February 4, 2008

Queston: What is the difference between a marcel grip curling iron and a regular curling iron? Why are they called marcel grip?

Answer: Monsieur Marcel, whose full name was Marcel Grateau, is credited with the origin of marcel waving. He was born in Chauvigny, France, in 1853. It was his ambition to develop a method of waving that would resemble the natural wave in hair. At last, in 1875, after considerable experimentation, he perfected the instrument and technique for waving hair with heated irons. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to hair dressing, this method of hair waving was called marcel waving.

Now a days these curling irons have been redesigned and modernized; still the marcel basic design is their original style grip handle. The marcel grip curling iron is great for the professional that works with a

What is the difference between shaving and trimming pubic hair and what are the best tools for the process?

    By Hairstyle Questions | February 3, 2008

Question: What is the difference between shaving and trimming pubic hair and what are the best tools for the process?

Answer: Trimming pubic hair generally means cutting down the natural bulk of the pubic hair.
Shaving leaves the area bare of hair.

For those who are just seeking to trim down the general bulk (an act I consider to be wise), a pair of scissors, a comb, and a mirror is all you’ll really need. You can also use a battery operated beard trimmer, as long as it’s clean.

The trimmer is a better choice for trimming pubic hair because it gives a uniform length quicker and easier with out the battle of measuring like with a scissor and comb. Although no special skills are needed for trimming pubic hair, I would suggest you get a trimming kit if you plan on making it an occasional ritual.

My personal choice for trimming pubic hair is by a company accurately named Pubic Shavers Inc. The product Pubic Shaving VIP Package comes with a depilatory cream, 2 hair trimmers, stencils, a spare blade, lube oil for
