Hi Ed Thank you for the question, it sounds like your describing the actor Michael C. Hall that plays Dexter Morgan on show-time. Any way my point being I love Dexter and I love his hair-doo. He too has quite a round face a large forehead and a rather larger head than normal but he is sure wearing that short cut. I think you should try this look Ed, go for the change and love it. 
The greatest thing about hair is that it grows up to half an inch in one month making the grow out process a fast one if you’re not pleased with the outcome. Take a picture of the actor to your stylist and ask if they know how to give that cut or point you in the right direction.
