Question: What is a partmesh hair weave? How can I incorporate partmesh hair weaves into my menu of services? Which type of client would be most interested in a partmesh weave?

Answer: When considering a partmesh hair weave, one should consider the client’s needs and condition. Partmesh hair weaves come in black, brown and beige. This particular hair weave is usually used on clients with severe baldness or extreme hair loss.

Offering the partmesh hair weave to the client in need will give them an option that will result in a secure and natural looking hair weave.

Partmesh:

Mesh in itself is similar to fabric. It looks sought of like a web in that it has many connected or weaved pieces. The mesh fabric may be similar to a fish net or a jersey and even a heavy duty hair net. A mesh is often defined as a loosely woven fabric that has a large number of closely spaced holes.

That is where the partmesh hair weave gets its name. The partmesh hair weave allows for a more precise fit to the head, a solution that is very much needed especially for those who do not have their own sufficient hair.

Tips for using a partmesh hair weave:

After fitting the net to the size of the Client’s head, cut one length of the mesh and the double sided tape to match the Client’s head. This will give the partmesh hair weave a more natural look.

  • Stitch the mesh to the netting using a sewing machine rather than a thread and needle; this will give a better finish
  • Stick the double sided tape to the black mesh
  • Peel off one side of the tape and stick the tape to the Client’s scalp. ( try not to touch the tape, it must be free of all oil and dust in order for it to adhere to the scalp
  • If the scalp is too moist or oily, try rubbing alcohol

Good Luck creating your first partmesh hair weave, and remember, the more you practice the easier it becomes.
