Answer: Hair Cuttery is a privately owned hair salon chain; the largest from what I understand. The first Hair Cuttery opened in west Springfield Virginia over twenty seven years ago in 1979 by a couple named Dennis and Ann Ratner. They started the concept of a full service salon with “no appointment necessary” This was somewhat revolutionary back in the day when you consider being able to get a perm, colour, bleach or any time consuming chemical service with out first making an appointment. They may have coined the phrase “Walk ins welcomed”
Many Locations Hair Cuttery has now grown to an impressive 1,000 plus salons located in the east coast, Chicago and the United Kindom. They employ over ten thousand stylist and provide over seventeen million services each year. Priding them selves in the highest associate and employee retention rate of the country, Hair Cuttery has developed great incentive programs for there employees raging from talent recognition, continued education and even hair style salon competitions that are rewarded with a trip to Cancun for the winning staff.
