Question: Is bleaching bodily hair safe? What is the process for bleaching bodily hair? Answer: Bleaching bodily hair is safe provided you’re not allergic to the ingredients or components. The process is simple and can be done right in your home. There are many good brands of home bleaching kits available. Some kits come with a premixed bleaching cream usually in a tube and some bleaching kits have to be mixed, usually a powder form and an activator such as 20 volume peroxide. Bleachable body hair: Virtually any part of the body can be bleached provided of course, you are not allergic. Most women use cream bleaches for their upper lip hairs, chin, arms and chest. Eye brows are off limits if you ask me and since you did… I would definitely suggest you don’t go there. Bleaching Woe’s: Bleaching bodily hair generally takes about eight to fifteen minutes to achieve maximum lightness. However, dark hair is a little more resistant than the lighter hair so it might not get as light as you would like. There are always the timing issues with bleach; if you leave it on to long it might irritate your skin and maybe even burn it. If you’re a dark skin woman or extremely tanned, you might find that bleaching your hair on your upper lip, chin or arms might be contradicting to the purpose for it might make the hairs more visible; like shining a flash light at a dark corner. So weigh your options and remember you have choices. |
