Question: Will my chest get irritated if I shave off my chest hairs?

Answer: Most likely yes! I am sorry to be the one that breaks it down to you but, shaving anything runs you the risk of irritation, especially if it’s your first time.

Shaving is of course the most common form of chest hair removal but certainly not the best in my opinion. Not that I have any chest hair to remove I’m just saying I have plenty of leg shaving experience to know that shaving your chest hair off is going to irritate your skin.

My oldest son uses cream depilatories like Nair for men. He doesn’t get irritated by the cream and uses it about twice a month. I recommend that you do a patch test first before smearing the cream all over your body. Whether you are using a cream or shaving off your chest hairs remember to trim down the bulk of it first with a scissor or a trimmer;

Trimmers being the better choice. While your indulging with the trimmer you should hit up the armpits too cause a hairless chest doesn’t look to good when accompanied by hairy armpits.

But seriously, if you decide to shave your chest hair, use a cream, wax or what ever, use an astringent afterwards; it will sting a little but it will help avoid irritation and those little infected bumps that some people get.
